Wheels look tiny! Compared to modern offerings... perfect though. Son of the owner of a boatyard I used to work at had one when he was a bloody teenager. Number plate was MAD BOY well obviously made to look like it, but I can't work out what it would have been now (trying to see where the plate is now)
The car itself was pretty tiny compared to most things on the road these days.

Went shopping today and a new m2 was parked next to me. Got to say, it’s nowhere near as ugly in the flesh as it looks in the photos. It’s pretty much exactly the same length as the M3 but a fair bit wider and taller. The M3 looks really small next to it!

Wow that does look horrific in those photos!

Agreed it's so much better in then flesh though, especially when they've been lowered a little. I saw this one at the nurburgring earlier this year and it looked absolutely epic. Massive fan.

I don’t/didn’t think they came with a bike??
I was always under the impression that you could only buy it as a two piece order, but looking online it doesn't appear so as there were only 50 bikes made Vs 500 cars. Maybe I just saw an article that featured both and my brain automatically made the link for me lol

Yes they used loads of parts from other cars! The engines were mostly Ford Escort other than the later ones which could come with a Nissan Turbo lump or a K series, think they had a lot of Metro parts too.

I was a track marshal for a Reliant event at Curborough my mate was in when I was 16 or so, remember lots of SS1's competing and they did alright tbf, bit funny looking!
