Happy days seems like a propper lads day out good work guys :).

it was a good night / day, do miss bomber and gray, its a shame when you make good mates that live sooo far away...

Looking good, so what's replacing the f4r?
As for the replacment engine what are you fitting then? I think it will be Vtec, silvia or cossie maybe a zetec, can't think of any other engines that's good BHP to ££££ wise.
Could be vag turbo but that would make the baby Jebus cry!
After reading gray's post Was going to say, he already has the new engine. :hail: Are you going to spill the beans as to what engine's going in guys? Or isit a surprise?
^ yes would be pretty sick running a 4x4 cossie lump :). Won't take much work now its a bare shell Neil ;),
a few alterations to the bulk head, exhaust tunnel and custom shaft's/prop.

sorry i have not updated sooner,i have had a pretty busy weekend after posting yesterday,

V-tec - just couldn't do that.... that would be a crime + i would have to just constantly talk / drop into every conversation about V-tec... no thank you
cossie 4x4 - would be extremely interesting but i think unless i am doing rallycross a bit overkill / pointless, but its a great shout.
zetec - just no.... may aswell buy a fiesta, how very dare you...lol
VAG - the closest shout yet, power to weight for what i am going for out of the lump it is very similar.... do like these engines and its been proven they can be done... however i am going for something that has never been done before... well not in this way,

as said this has come from an extensive conversation with the founders of 3 reputable tuners Bomber of B-spec Motorsport, Keiran of Gray Motorsport and myself of Wurzel WRacing, and it is with great pleasure that i can announce we are putting an original Gray motorsport tuned lump in.....

Pmsl, I'd suggest if you want to get the most horses out of gray you should defo upgrade them daps lol.

Will be watching this like a hawk waiting for the big day when you announce what engine your fitting. :)

  Qashcow
What about the over night parts from Dieppe?

I have extensive worries about the exhaust being too tight as its got a lot of things that'll need stuffing up it

Are you lot being serious are are you trolling?

Either way, you're mongoloids. The car isn't having a different engine fitted. Its a wind up ffs.

Do you still believe in santa?

So a bit more of an update then after i went down to the car again today...

The last bits that NEED to be removed from the engine bay come out today, anything else can be masked....
leaving it looking quite sparse...

IMG_1392.jpg

the rest of the engine loom, brake servo/pedal assembly etc all gone too.......

IMG_1394.jpg

i then moved onto removing the front wings.... nice and easy although i found one wing had a crack/split in the bottom mount point... bit of a pain but will sort another,

IMG_1395.jpg

and whilst doing this removed a lot more weight from the car...

IMG_1398.jpg

good times, its not long off paint now, although i still need to do some more weight loss, but will wait to get off the panels in question before i do this

fibreglass doors and boot to save some more weight , companie on ebay sell them , they claim they are 5kg each and are moulded to the renault doors and boot so say they are a good fit , that could save over 100kg
