The fuse was blowing because.............





The adaptor was wired incorectly which reversed the polarity of the power going to the stereo. Basicaly adaptor was connecting black to black and red to red at the interface with the car then crossing this over to red to black and black to red at the stereo!!! This was of course blowing the fuse instantly (luckally)

I changed the pins on the adaptor and the fuse for a second time!! and hay presto it all worked.

Thank fook it didnt kill the stereo........ :ps

P.S. Stereos are very hot when they have been on for a while!!!
