@jay70 this may be one for you as nearly everyone else seems to be norvern.

Who are the reputable Subaru servicing specialists, and trusted tuning houses in the southern half of England - say from Birmingham and down? Does anyone have any experience of Subaru4U, based in Newbury?

Also, are there any specialists who are well-known in Subaru circles for providing quality used stock? The more I look the more I know I have to have a Classic STI.

To be fair you won't go wrong with the usual suspects, RCM, API, Engine Tuner, Scooby Clinic for tuning. They are basically one stop shops for everything(rebuilds, mapping servicing etc etc.) Ive never had any work done by Len at S4U but know people who have and they speak very highly of him.
Then there are the "Mapping only " guys who travel about using different dynos or road mapping.....Simon Roe, Bob Rawle, Duncan Graham, Paul Blamire...….Everyone has their favorite tuner and are prepared to travel miles and miles for their services to the point where Engine Tuner have done quite a bit of work for Europian customers and mappers fly out to other countries for group mapping sessions.

Used parts, there probably isnt anyone better than MattyB on scoobynet, he just buys perfectly good cars and breaks them...Sometimes you look at the pics of a car car he's breaking and its like...WTF! Really!...

My Blob STI had its last moments with Matty just before he ripped it apart! Lol

Try admiral. All mine have been with admiral/elephant. My last impreza was £680 and the one before that was £900 (I was 22)

I've never seen that conversion before, what sort of BHP is that engine?
I don't like the seats, leather looks wrong in a Scooby. I don't like the wheels either, they're a bit too big.

its an NA so 230 iirc its from a 90's coupe Subaru built called the SVX...the engines require a decent chunk of work to make the boostable, but there are a few around now. Andy Forrests' being the most well know, Simon Roe (Jolly Green monster), has one and Matty B (subaru breaker mentioned above), too. They were all running pairs of billet GT30Rs but I think Andy and Matt are now on 35s...so circa 1200.

Chaps, help me!

I want some front discs and pads for a D2 8 pot caliper. Where can I buy such products? I've looked on ebay, scoobyworld and scooby parts. Nothing.

Try GodSpeed dude .. they do all sorts. They'll be able to make you anything you want I'd imagine !!

Measure it...... outer dia. and thickness.. maybe there's some specs online for what the calipers need/take..?

I know what you mean fella, I posted this one a week or so ago and I think it looks superb, it's everything I'd want, but why is it only £4.5k? Patchy history?

These things are driving me mad tbh.

Im older with a wife and 2 kids, the PH1 is lovley but owning a fast scoob would tick all of my boxes for a weekend toy.

Dont know if i can bring mysely to sell the PH1 though. :(

I wouldn't be worried about patchy history with a car in that condition as obviously it's been looked after as long as you check the right things it's a winner IMO type r FTW.
