The review I watched (mkbhd) said it feels slow straight out the box. Doesn't bode well for long term use.
Seen. Other reviews say it flies. I'm no heavy user, it'll do for me.

i am just reading about the Pixel, says the battery life is really poor, that's enough to put me off.
I'd agree about the pricey phones, but for the spec bump, the OnePlus 7t pro seems better value at £570Ordered the OnePlus Nord today to replace my 2.5+ year old Note 8.
It's not perfect, but at £379 it should be a decent replacement for my aging Note 8.
I was a little concerned about the camera ability initially, but I think from the reviews it seems pretty solid using the main lens, wide angle isn't the best, but as I've not had it before, I'm not too concerned, and it seems ok in decent light.
Wish it had a 3.5mm jack, but already have some decent Cambridge audio earpods, so not the end of the world.
I had considered the pixel 4a, but didn't want a smaller phone than I already had. So ruled it out. I had hoped they'd bring out a XL version.
Seems to be loads of decent options at sub £400 at the minute. Really don't see the point in paying £1k + for a phone right now.

These list it as being poor? a full day with little use would be the minimum i would be looking for?
Google Pixel 4 XL review: Untapped potential
The most anticipated Android phone of the year is here, and it surprises and disappoints in equal measure. This is the Google Pixel 4 XL review.www.androidauthority.com
Edit, sorry that is the 4 XL.
I never got the criticism of the 4XL battery? I've got one and it's never, ever, run out during the day, even with fairly heavy (for me) usage of video calling / media playback / calls / browsing etc. That'll be why then. the 4 XL was woeful. The 4A has a bigger battery that has less work to do...hence the full day without issue.
I've been reading more on the 4A and watched a few other first impression videos. Love it. As a diehard Google device Android user that's decision made for me.

I believe the 4 wasn't great, but the 4XL has a much bigger battery.
for the sake of £3 a month i might as well get as an S10 + would be £35.00 a month, and it's 5g, so think i am going to pull the trigger, phones are getting expensive now though, £38 on a 24 month contract isn't a bad deal i don't thinkSeems a good price. I pay 34 at the mo and set my self a 40 a month budget.
Really not sure what to get next yet
I think i am going to get an S20, vodafone are offering me one with 30gb of data, for £38 a month, i am paying £33 a month now on my S8.
i thought it was decent, it's the reason i decided to stop being a tight arse and get a new phone.. 😂That's very good. I pay £66 on my S20+ with unlimited everything. They always say that's the best deal they've given me 😂
Is there an s20, plus and ultra??
Yes mate, Plus is bigger and has a slightly better battery, Ultra is just expensive...lol, but it has the best of everything. Is there an s20, plus and ultra??
Got a Oneplus 8 Pro 256gb coming tomorrow. Always held off Oneplus phones as they fell just short of other flagships with a few features. Not now it seems. I've always had HTCs for years so will be interesting to see how Oxygen OS compares. Looking forward to a jump in speed, battery life, warp charging, AMOLED display. Not a fan of the green colour but it's going straight in a black Spigen away.
Where did you get that from? Most places are showing out of stock.
This it's been fixed with a software update mate.Is it the s20 that has an iffy camera?. Few on here have mentioned it?.
