i put a bid in yesterday on one of these, didnt win it which was good. got no space for it.

Cnc wise I’ve got a Hurco vmx24, great machine for an oldie but the tool changer doesn’t work properly, need to strip it and have a good look as it will speed so many jobs up.

I just don’t get in the tool room much now, I shy away and try and stay in the office, but when something needs fixing or I get a new tool / jig to make I just get on with it. It’s not something I enjoy that much now to be fair.

First time using the new stubby ratchets in anger thanks to the recommendation from @Yorkshire Pudding

3/4 and 1/4 in use in the pics. I suspect I probably won't use the 1/2 as much as the other two.

It's amazing how you didn't realise you needed a tool all that time until you get one and use its full potential - mahatma ghandi 2019

I just try and be a bad influence

Just look at how much space I have for more ratchets and extension bars...

I need to get that triple pack of wobbly joints, some mega long extensions too

Honestly people just suggest tools in here. You try and I'll buy should be the motto🤦‍♂️😂

All I'm saying is that foam is preventing more tools to fit in there.

Remove it, more tools, go in dry you don't need protection

Not a tool as such, but im sure I’m not the only one who has struggled for a decent pliers rack that will cope with spring loaded pliers.
You usually can’t stand them up as they ping open and prevent the drawer from opening/closing properly.

All I can find are those metal “dishes” racks from the states or the basic snap on open top racks.

So I’ve bought one of the cheap Sealey Premier racks which are as well made as the Snap Ons but adjustable so you can set the compartment width.
Then I measured and drilled each panel and run a line of 3mm shock cord through and tied off at the ends. Big Sealey rack is £22 and the shock cord cost me £2 from my yacht chandlers.

Now have freed up a huge amount of space in my pliers drawer which is dangerous as now I obviously need more pliers.

Acquired these old cast iron slip rolls today, they weigh about at much as the sun.

Made in Birmingham by G Kendrick. Other than that I've not got a clue about then. They need a good tidy up but other than that they're really nice.

when 14 i worked at a local car wash, first job etc...

they used mangles to dry the chamois, i remember someone running to put his chamois in whilst i was doing mine. got his hand caught in there, took me a few seconds to notice and i had to quickly go backwards to get his hand out.

4 black nails!

My mate does this, think he's got some form of something. But he can't see a new tool without picking it up and then playing with any moving parts or settings.

Drives me f**king insane as it's like watching a child making sure he doesn't break anything.
Bloke I work with is the same, proper autistic c**t that has no boundaries

I was using my impact gun, set it down for 2 seconds to adjust something and he's got it in his hand playing with the trigger pretending to be a robot. Absolute pedo

I had a M12 hex driver delivered today. Just for the quick easy jobs at work 👍🏼 Also a knipex roll of various tools but absolute waste of money seeing as I’ve already got all of them individually probably 😂😂

Got a crimping set as I'm currently doing some battery mods to the mr2.

Bit overkill for my needs but it's nice to have them incase! Pushes 16 tons out.

The size variety is great too from 10mm^2 to 3000.

No such thing as overkill! When I look for new things I always go to the top of the range first, then when I see the price work my way down to find the compromise 😄
