That's steering wheel looks a perfect, works really well with the interior colours. Are you selling the sabelts? If I cant have the car....

I may sell one of the sabelts soon, undecided as yet, but i'll tag you in the sale if I do let one go, definitely got wheel issues at the mo, lol!

So, tried to use the car over the weekend as the weather was okay on Saturday daytime..... Pulled away from house and made it all of 20 metres before heard a huge clunk and brake pedal went nearly to the floor..

Manged to investigate this afternoon and it was.... Pad shed it's friction material, never had this happen before and especially not on a basic road pad.

Anyway had good used set in shed so cleaned everything up and fitted replacement and all good.

Took the opportunity whilst rear wheels were off to scrub up the inner rear arches and treat any surface corrosion with hydrate 80 too.

Then took her for quick spin and all okay...... Until parked up at home

Radiator popped, lovely stuff!

Thankfully got a good used rad, new header tank and type d in the shed so will sort this weekend.

Cheers

So weather just about held off enough yesterday to work on the cooling system and replace the knackered radiator.

Old radiator out, see the split where it's let go

Took her for a spin, topped off the header tank with type d once it had settled. No leaks, no issues, gravy!

Few more changes, wound the coilovers down another 10mm up front to get her sitting correctly.

Then refitted the minidisc 💽 head unit, with the connects2 so now the column control works which is nice.

Fitted some 182 rear speakers as they were in shed and the original 172 ones were knackered

Also fitted the trendlines and Williams wheels and gave her a bath.

Few pics!

Been playing cambelt roulette for a while now too so she's booked in to see @MicKPM for a sort out next week. As such left her unused last week or two and been exclusively in the RB.... so to show disdain for the situation the stroppy bugger spat her front plate off.... neighbor's knocked on and returned it to me from down road.... doh! :ROFLMAO:

Now I do love a Williams wheel, but this looks 100x better on the OZ f1's...
Think I may get some OZ F1's as my spare/wet set (rather than TD's)

agreed, the silver on blue works so well tbh. I hate F1's for their egginess under the slightest bump.....but they suit the car so so well.

Williams have been reallocated back to GTT now anyway....

So, belts overdue by a year.... on cambelt so the aux belt was 3 years over.

Bit the bullet and got me awld mukka @MicKPM at Diamond to give the old girl a well overdue refresh. All genuine Renault parts used for the following:

- cambelt kit
- aux belt kit
- dephaser
- harmonic balancer
- water pump
- sump gasket
- crank oil seal
- all fluids and filters
- clutch
- clutch cable
- accelerator cable
- aircon regas

Anything else we find too...... which transpires was a Laguna 1.8 8v gearbox on the car, JB3 145 code which was why my speedo was reading wrong! Lol! So grabbed the spare JC5 089 from the shed which should hopefully do the job.

Car will be picked up next week and hopefully be perfect for the foreseeable

Booked Blyton Park for my birthday too so may use her for that.

Anyway, few pics!

Not on the list? You're not coming in

Proper job, love this Odyssey.

I need to visit Mick's new place and generally annoy him / knock things over... It's been too long

Cars back together and being collected this week. Minor issue on the aircon, stuck new seal kit into it but then the condensor blew so awaiting overnight parts from France on that one, but as Mick's busy it'll have to wait

In meantime tried to refurb some side badges, model paint and not very steady hand and they'll do, not great but better than totally worn out. Just unfortunate that the paint is marbly, so finish isn't great

Cheers
