Fucked, another winter and she's ditched, sniffing 180k now. Had to replace the OSF hub assembly due to the common ball joint pin hole ovaling issue, another oil and filter and a centre cap fucked off.

Still love it, still use it all the time

Hi folks,

Ive finally returned to clio ownership after a boring 12 year absence and have took the plunge with a ph1 172.... i always loved the look of the front end over the ph2's i've had in the past!

Anyway, here's a photo, it needs a bit of a refresh and ive got a fair bit of work planned, but its all there and only 81k miles, so well worth it in my mind. Im hoping it will prove to be a keeper and eventually pass down to the kids!

I'm aware of how incredibly autistic this is, but I've had a lot of spare time at work at the moment so I've been trawling the internet in the hopes of recording every single Pearl Black Phase 1 that was sold in the UK. Currently I'm at 50 cars out of the potential 117, but I know there were a load of grey imports around this time so the number may be greater than that!

If anyone could provide pictures or reg numbers for any of the cars that are not on this list, it would be most appreciated!

So I've scrolled through over 570 pages of adverts in the For Sale section, and I'm now up to 72 cars which I think is pretty good going! Unfortunately due to the death of Photobucket and other image hosting sites, I really struggled on some of the earlier ads as all the photos have been deleted and no one back then posted their reg number in the advert.

Here's the current list, I'll upload it to a GoogleDoc at some point so it'll be better than zooming in on this!

Always good to see whats happening across the Tasman.
An old friend of mine who now resides in New Plymouth, just recently aquired a 172.
 
So clean, oddysey looks mega in the sun, roughly how many 172s did Renault sell in NZ? I assume some were imported? And do they salt the roads over there?
