Ticking Valver

Help!!!... My Valver just started ticking, the faster you get the quicker and louder the ticking gets, its coming as the passenger front wheel turns but the sound is from the drivers side driveshaft as it enters the box... any ideas? want to know what it is before i get raped from Mr Mechanic.

A clicking sound on turning can mean that a cv gaiter has gone and the joint has dried out. I think...
