Timmo's 172 Cup

Hey everyone,

After looking for the last month I have finally found an ideal 172 Cup, will be picking up on Saturday. I'm proper excited as have wanted a sport since I started driving (aim low, shoot high?) Anything I need to keep an eye out for and what essential mods does everyone recommend. Will post some pictures on Saturday.

Not too sure what major plans I want to do just yet. Still looking around for ideas and not too sure what my plan is with it.

• Mist Jet Washers
• Replace Interior Lights With LED Bulbs
• New Rear Light with LED Bulb

Just small things at the moment. Feel free to recommend any upgrades that are good / worth doing.

Sorted out the buzzing from the Climate Control Sensor last night.

Got home to some post, it's the little things in life

Got some LED bulbs for the interior lights and some chrome indicator bulbs for front and back.

@cpaterson76 it's annoying me to, just havn't had the weather or time to do it. Hopefully weather permitting I will give it a full detail this weekend. Apparently the lad I bought it from paid £30 for it to cleaned the day before I picked it up. If it was me I would've been asking for my money back they did a terrible job.

Perfect mate.... The car looks very clean and straight. So many cups on the forum but your one stands out even in standard trim. Cracking buy mate....

All models come with rear wiper.

Yes all cups came with a rear wiper, if it's not there is been removed by a previous owner

i might be wrong but the french cups did not have the rear wipers unlike the uk

Few more things sorted yesterday, replaced the number plate light and put an LED in and replaced the damaged gear gaiter/holder.

Next job is to give the car a good clean (when the weather permits it!), new number plates as they are really bugging me now and car mats.

Gave her a clean today. Definitely need some more cleaning products couldn't get the alloys properly clean with the stuff i've got.

Just ordered a new rear plate and a 3/4 front plate. Also planning on stick them on with heavy duty velcro from Amazon, has anyone used this?

I'll have a look thanks. Gave the engine bay a bit of a clean today and got the DSLR out. Have got new jet washers to fit (any tips on fitting?) and need to decide where my cliosport.net badge is going.

As far as I know, Cups didn't come with an engine cover. It's not needed so less weight (All 20 grams of it lol)

Painting the inlet and fuel rail protector is definitely on the to-do list. Can't decide what colour to go for though, thinking matt black with yellow lettering at the moment. Also on the look out for an engine cover as I think they look tidier with one fitted, thinking arctic blue for that.

Got rid of the crappy plates today, was a right mess behind with loads of foam sticky pads that hadn't been removed, just new ones stuck on.

Nice. Little touches like clean plates make all the difference. Always one of the first things I do too.

I did my inlet manifold and fuel rail guard in matt black with the silver Renaultsport:

Looooong overdue update. Gave the Clio a clean on Sunday. Recovering from a back op last year has meant that it's been very neglected. Serviced it last weekend, replaced the washer jets in the week and have ordered a new air filter and hose to replace the crappy one that is currently in there.

Was going to snow foam the car but my power washer died on me whilst rinsing.

Headlights also need restoring at some point.

Also fitted some wind deflectors yesterday afternoon.

Noticed this morning that my splitter has a nice crack in it, not sure to try and repair or replace with a Fabia one.

Relocated and fitted new air filter this evening. It's a tight fit that's for sure! Please ignore the piece of cardboard ? I'll get a bit of rubber trim from work tomorrow.
