Sounds a daft question, but there must be some driving tips that can make you develop a feel for the car better.

I dont mean like daft comments like dont floor is round a roundabout etc..just things to make you a better faster driver.

No doubt i will get lots of silly answers...but oh well.

Drive it like a normal car? i don't understand why you are concerned? just put it into a corner and gradually get a feel for the limits.

Thread number 8 or 9 by now?

Just get used to the car, don't push the limits. Take it easy.

if you lift of round a relativley tight round about at speed the back may break free which is likely to enduce brown trousers the first time it happens.

If you want to snap your passangers neck drive at 70 then put it in third and boot it :)

Lift off into corners, i find it aids rear traction (Only above 80mph)

If you find the back end sliding in front of you, make sure you turn away from the corner. This will 90% of the time recover the car from the slide.

Also if you are understeering, don't brake. Instead put the steering wheel straight and keep your foot in it.

it'll never beat a ph1 in a race either so save yourself the embarrasment and don't try it on a meet if you ever go on one.

Pedals;

Left = Use when changing gears
Middle = Slower
Right = Faster.

Big round thing infront of you - Turn this to go round corners.

HTH :cool:

Also if you start it in 5th with the throttle fully depressed you get 2% more power. (Its like the level select on Sonic)

And removing 1 HT lead from the coil pack for 3.5 miles improves fuel consumption over that distance.

This threads brightened up my day..comical!

tbf mate, you kind of roll in the petrol and ask to be flamed on here.

If it isnt 8 gazillion threads on what car you should buy (or your grandad should buy) then its threads like "how to drive a 182" christ almighty mate.

A grip.

You should get one.

Iirc changing the HT leads around every other day confuses the engine to make it believe its a cow.

When you start it it'll moo.

I would actually laugh so hard i'd s**t in my pants if the next thread this dude started was entitled

''Help, i've crashed it on a sweeping bend''.

Just drive it fella-surely half the fun is figuring out for yourself how it drives?

Failing that, surely an advanced driver course would be a good bet if youre looking for pointers on getting smoother/quicker.

Not sure that works on the Racing Blue ones, i have been trying and it wont work :(. Could it be because i dont have stripes ?
