TomTom 510 stopped working

kaput, it charges (with the little green light on) but it won't turn on

anyone else had this?

hold power and reset switches for 20 seconds and try again.

reset switch is underneith

if not, you'll need to reflash it.

Also check the power on button as the one on mine is really crap and you have to press it really hard.

make sure the reset switch isnt jammed in also, this is a common problem at work.

My 910 needs resetting whenever the battery runs out. Shat myself the first time as thought it was kaputt

Been dozens of times when mine won't turn on. Usually a random combination of power/reset button sorts it, and other times it turns on when I connect the charger even if the battery is full?!

Far from ideal tbh, but when it works I cant knock it. Wouldn't turn on when I was 3 hours from home without a map book though, damn thing!

the amount of people who come in work with the words 'this unit is s**t i WANT my money back' is shocking dunno why people who sell them dont explain the reset button i do as they always go wrong when ya need em!

i got one of these on ebay for 40 quid, sold as spares/repair because the guy thought it wouldnt power on... reset it and wola, fully working tomtom.

ALwatys remember to carry somehting to reset it though in the car or behind the unit I got stick once unable to reset it.

The old fashioned ring binder map showed its value yet agaian (uncloiled the ring binder).
