How was the Skyline to pilot on track? Was it a bit 'sluggish' quickly followed by 'BAM!' of torque and power?
Could it shift its weight cleanly enough or did it feel heavy most of the time?
Cool thread this!

No they deliver power very smoothly and progressively. which is a shame as I quite like a big boost spike and a kick up the ass kinda power delivery!
Felt very nimble and the body control was superb. Very impressive and fast on track. Terribly hard ride on the road with the G-attack supsension. Standard ones are nicer. Mine also had a NASTY and snatchy HKS triple plate clutch... so as a roadcar it was no fun to pootle about in!
Has ALOT of grip in the dry on track... ABSOLUTELY NONE in the wet!!! suspect suspension was just too hard. I was doing Charity rides at Castle combe once and it started to rain. The car was a NIGHTMARE! I was going sooo slowly it was embarrasing! I turned in and it would understeer... if I breathed on the throttle it would oversteer!
I came into swap passengers and my mate said whats the problem with car? why am I going so slowly? I said that it was as fast as I could make it go!!! he laughed and took piss out of me... I threw him the keys. Next lap that stunning blue jap 'weapon' was overtaken by a STANDARD H reg Ford Fiesta XR2i!!!!! it was THAT bad!
In the dry it went around combe in 1.16... thats pretty quick for a road car.
