Torque wrenches and setting for hub nut?

I'm going to attempt some DIY and replace a dead ball joint however it looks like I'll need a torque wrench for when I piece it all back together.

Does anyone recommend any torque wrenches? Not looking to spend loads as it won't be used often.

Also apart from the hub nut will I need to torque up any other bolts to a certain level when replacing the ball joint?

Halfords pro range are good for general un often use imo.

Worth asking about for a local trade card (friend with one)

Only torque setting I use is QFT.

If it's on the engine it's a different story though.

I don't want to ruin the wheel bearing if it's too tight.

That only goes to 80nm, I imagine hub nuts are 200nm+.

ive got two halfords torque wrenchs, both seem really good used them a few times now, and they come with a lifetime warranty aswell

Driveshaft Nut - 28
Wheel Bolts - 9
Shock absorber base nut- 18
Brake Caliper mounting bolt - 10
Track Rod end nut - 3.7
Cotter Bolt nut on stub axle carrier - 5.5

Just done my hub nuts up and they were 280NM according to autodata.

Why do you feel them need to undo the hub nut to replace a ball joint????

Exactly what i thought, just the 2 nuts an bolts an the pinch bolt on the last one i did

Oh ok, I think I read on another thread it needs to come off. At least that'll make the job a little easier, also a few people mentioned using a ball joint fork is it actually needed?

EDIT: Just seen your post above I think I'll book it in for the work and save my poor hands the effort.

Ball joint removing fork is essential IMO takes them out the hub no problems.
