Pick your brain time. Tracking measurements as follows-

Before i took it too a place in chester, i did know it was out btw as i had a couple of jobs done.

toe -.019 left -0.34 total -0.15 right

After

toe -0.05 left -0.11 total -0.05 right

So still not entirely happy today i take it next door for them to check. Only got the above last week btw.

Printout what it was then

toe -0.01 left -0.28 total -0.27right

What they have adjusted it too

toe -0.05left -0.10 total -0.05 right

Any ideas why it would change so much in a short period of time????????

And i havent hit anything. Appreciate any help guys, driving me mad lol. Looking at the measurements and im far from an expert something must be causing it to change surely

I had mine done not long ago and it's pulling to the left quite bad now, not hit/bumped anything

French cars I suppose lol

if the steering wheel wasn't **** on perfectly straight then that would explain it to an extent (ALWAYS ALWAYS CHECK IT YOURSELF!)

also you could have worn tie rods (always causes issues)

etc etc

Tie rods look okay aparantly and numerous people have said nothing is bent. Maybe put it down to user error? I drove it home after work and it did seem much better so suppose just to keep an eye on it. Cheers for the quick replies and Fred can you Thank Sam for me, spoke to him before.

How was it done,if you have a slightly buckled wheel that would do it as well. The slightest bit of play in anything would make the little differences.

I took it to Ats next door to my work, they have got the new hunter system i think. Think a couple of the wheels are buckled slightly but wouldnt that affect it straight away? On second thoughts it wouldnt would it? The wheel def felt straight on the way home although it was pulling ever so slightly to the left but i will put that down to

Striving for perfection, refer back to point one.

Weird

Regardless if your steering wheel wheel was straight 1st or 2nd time you have gained 17' of toe out overall?
If a wheel was buckled that could account for some as the gauge could have been located on a different part of the wheel I suppose.

I'm not an expert by the way:) but I do know when mine was adjusted it didn't take much adjustment at all to gain a couple of minutes. Suppose the machines could be out relative to each other too!

Was any heat required to adjust your tie rods?

Any advice expert or not is appreciated. The machine is new ish but I suppose it could be out. No heat reqd for adjustment, the whole thing looked straight forward tbh. Will get it rechecked when im back in work on friday and go from there.

check for play in the tie rod joints on the rack, also the rod end, slack bushes, slack ball joints could all cause it to go out slightly.

Cheers. Been for a drive in it today and so far so good. Will be sticking it on the machine tomo to see if its the same. Think that will reveal a lot. Anyone else who has similar issues feel free to add.

As I already said, the slightest play in anything will do it.Towards the end of the season,we started having a nightmare setting our car up, as all the joints had slight play in them.
