tracking

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v

right, got my car back after having some repairs done, and they replaced a track rod end due to it being siezed. Obviously after fitting, the tracking was set up, but now my steering wheel sits at an angle when driving straight.

Other than the wheel sitting off center, is there any other implications? Am i right in saying that this means full lock takes less one way than it would the other if the rack is sitting offset?

Im planning on taking it back, or somewhere else, as Im not confindent that the steering feels right (feels light and skittish, but no real traction issues so far) but would like to know in the meantime.

Cowboys. They should always lock the wheel in the central position before doing the tracking.
