Trophy No 302

Hi, I'm Chris from Glasgow and just yesterday picked up my Clio 182 Trophy, number 302 from over in Edinburgh.

I previously drove an e46 M3 but circumstances changing meant I had to get something cheaper etc. The trophy has done 52k and its spot on mechanically, I'll need to sort a couple of cosmetic issues but for now I'm happy.

I'll let the pictures do the talking and I'll keep this thread updated with progress.

Thanks mate, yeah I'll most likely be purchasing a new set of Turinis but prices seem to vary. I have a new steering wheel on order (melting old one) and a couple of other bits and bobs

I'd just get they ones refurbed mate, it'll be cheaper and be less of a headache trying to source a set of originals (offsets different from memory!) i actually meant anthracite wheels not silver lol.

I'm penilee mate over the southside, there are loads of Scottish members now

Nice one, yeah seems to be a few around. I will most likely try source a brand new set. I'm warry of getting wheels refurbed constantly. I'll probably bite the bullet and splash out on brand new ones

I'm not sure you can buy brand new Trophy Turinis? May be wrong. I know that the other Turinis have different offsets, but maybe that won't bother you.

I need that M3 in my life!!! Had a 330 Clubsport in the same colour an love it but like you circumstances have put me in a Clio! Trophy looks lovely too, I'd look for cup turinis (lower offset) and have them refurbed anthracite!

Personally I think it looks really nice with black wheels, bullets and badges, Not true to the trophy fans but nothing wrong in being different.

I really recommend you get the wheels refurbished because you will be waiting literally months to get a new set from Renault.

Thanks for the comments folks yeah the M was a beaut. I'm sure k-tec racing sell a set for £600ish?

Gutting to sell that mate, but you've got a great replacement.

Where are you getting your steering wheel from?

I had those bullets on mine when I bought it but have since gone back to standard. They do look good though.

The paint job on the bullets is pretty poor so ill most likely change them. I'm getting it done by forum member 'snappy'

i have a spare wheel so if u want to buy that off me when I'm finished with it let me know. It's handy as the wheel will be away for a few days

Ahh good man. I got one from snappy recently. They look loads better

believe ktec sell the 15" version of turinis, I have some and it's much cheaper on tyres

Is it me or... Does the M3 in one picture have a CSL bootlid but not in the rest?

Yeah I fitted a genuine cel bootlid towards the end of ownership. Cost a small fortune!

Welcome to T ownership. You can still get new rims but you have to order them from Renault, those that you have seen from K-tec will be the wrong offset.

​Thought I'd give this thread a small update. The car is garaged at the moment. I'm having front and rear bumpers along with bonnet painted.

Also decided to get the wheels done in the original colour. Picked up a set of steelies from the scrappy for £25 with decent tyres so the car can sit on them for a week or two whilst everything gets painted

Love the fitment of these bad boys!

Also gave the interior a clean including seat belts. Makes a huge difference!

No been dismantling it to make it perfect lol. Doesn't take long to take out seats, remove bumpers, bonnet etc

im one of these guys that doesn't like folk seeing my car until its finished! Hopefully be on the road in a couple weeks

its got a nice ktec exhaust on there too
