well second hand your gonna struggle for Silver seeing as trophys only come in Red.

secondly Renault will punish your wallet for a new one! so your only hope is someone selling one off their trophy which then wont be cheap

i didnt know if sum1 had one n selling hense y silver, yeah i guessed what ever id get would need spraying...

and they wont do, there the same as the V6 spoiler arent they?

Whatever way you look at it your going to have to wave goodbye to 200 wingwangs minimum, new or second hand. Depressing tbh.

Though there some rep ones on the bay, though they are a little gash.

And if you haven't already thought of it you'd also need shorter tailgate support struts to stop the spoiler from hitting the aerial, unless you've removed the aerial or something.

I know it's subjective, and you've obviously decided you want one, but personally I think that spoiler looks out of proportion on anything other than the V6.

I've got the cup packs and think my spoiler is the best looking one (and I'm not being biased - I can think of plenty of things I don't like about my car.)

If you can, get one IMO. Wish I had. Just something a bit different from the norm on here. Normally on sale for around £220 secondhand, I think, some with shorter struts, some without. Sure there was a couple in the for sale section recently but not sure if they sold or not.

About £50 extra for the brake light (which I dont think you need anyway if you have the standard sport/dynamique spoiler).

Theyre about £200 new including the brake light!! Renault Wolves quoted me £170 but werent sure if that included the light!

How much is it for struts though. Aren't they £200 ish.

I wasnt planning on getting the struts, as I dont use my boot much! Would have just been extra careful not to open too far!

I could be wrong, but worst case scenario if you forgot and let your boot open too far (or if somebody else did - friend, family, at a garage, etc) - you could probably end up with a bent roof. Just theory, it depends how strong the roof is at the point where the aerial's attached. I'd definitely go with the shorter struts, doesn't seem worth the risk.

Another option - I've seen a few Golfs (mk five or six, can't remember) that have a bigger, aftermarket, spoiler at the top of the bootlid. They have a little cutout for the aerial to prevent contact. But I've no idea how deep the groove would need to be, you'd have to ditch the brakelight, fill the gap left by the brakelight, and in my opinion it wouldn't look as good. But just a suggestion.

Or ditch the aerial?

Or am I missing another point - would the spoiler hit the rear edge of the roof? :S

i remember them days!!! lived in it, but i didnt have a car then either else it would of been spent on that! want a v6 spoiler so bad!
