Trophy Wheels And Cup Wheels

  RB 182
Whats the difference? I know Trophy ones fit a 182 Cup and 172 Cup ones dont, but whys this? Are they wider or something?

Don't quote me but I think trophy wheels are a different higher offset. Be ET45 iirc if they're like a cupped 182.

172 Cup turinis are ET37.5 iirc... think Trophy may be ET43? Guessing tbh, but the difference is in the offset. Although they should still fit?

Tyres make no odds its all down to the offset which will only be an issue if you lower your car

172 Cup turinis ET38.5
182 Trophy turinis ET45

  Golf GTI PP Mk7
Is the offset how far they 'stick out'?

thats how ive always understood it.

the difference between where it bolts to the hub, and the edge of the wheel, or something like that.

the 'stickyoutyness' essentially.

So they're interchangeable if your suspension is standard?
