You gonna put something on the walls to stop door scrapes?
Yes pal, either pads or metal tubing with foam insulation. You gonna put something on the walls to stop door scrapes?
Looks good.
Where did you get the machine holders?
Here you go guys:Coming on really well. If you have a sec can you give me a link to the machine polisher holder and the lights on the walls.
Really impressed though!!
I was just thinking the same thing! My rear garage wall is falling down.I like the fact you've got decent brickwork inside your garage
Honestly not a clue as supplies and fitted by electrician mate.Do you remember what lumen the lights are or have a link to them?
Broken/incomplete URL?For those that asked when painting I took down all the lights so managed to find out which ones they were and they are these:

Cheers, they look decent.Hmmm working my end. What you want is the following which are £45 from Electrical Direct:
Daxlite 50W LED Batten - 5ft - Daylight
Hahaha good man!Some good progress!
This thread made me pissed off at the state of my garage so I've started tidying up the junk that's accumulated over the past few months lol.
Me too, mine needs some serious work, great to get tips and see what fellow forum members have done - saves some research too [emoji6]Some good progress!

Thanks Pal, the part at the back goes back a couple of meters and is racked with all the other bits and pieces including a tumble dryer for drying the drying towels lol. Just the polishing bits out front.Tidy little place mate, just needs more shelves and detailing equipment.
🙈When are you finishing off the skirting boards :tongueout:
Hahaha  no doubt!Looking great.
When the little one comes it’ll be full of crap again though. Trust me.
My own needs and probably friends/family; I have a business so this is just for the weekend but I have an obsession with changing my cars so often have half a dozen a year.Is this being built solely for your own ocd polishing needs or are you planning on a shiny venture?
Nice. I look forward to seeing some shiny metal rolling out of your man cave this year then!My own needs and probably friends/family; I have a business so this is just for the weekend but I have an obsession with changing my cars so often have half a dozen a year.
Another idea... use your spare floor tiles for the walls where the doors will open, or alternatively I used to off cuts of new thick carpet !
I literally havent a clue but I would imagine not too much.Makes me want to fit a few more strip lights in my garage.
How much power do the ones you've got/you're having fitted use? With them being LED, I assume not a lot?
I have but couldnt find anything perfect at the local stores. The ones they have are too cheap looking if that makes sense so the search continues but I do have some foam tiles if necessary.Awesome work! So clean, and like Jonnio said, I'm off to clean up my garage haha.
Have you thought about putting some foam strips down the brick pillars that stick out? As a precaution for the unlikely event a door were to swing open into them?
Thought about that bud but they are hard plastic not rubber so far too hard. I got them from Duramat.Another idea... use your spare floor tiles for the walls where the doors will open, or alternatively I used to off cuts of new thick carpet !
I like the floor... mine has just been built and I planned to paint the floor but no matter what paint will always come off eventually 😧
Where did you get your floor tiles, are they just thick rubber ones? Choice of colours etc?
I need to jack the car up soon to do the suspension overhaul however I will be placing spare tiles under where I jack just incase!!! lolLike the whiteboard idea and lol at the engine stand.. reminds me of my other rented garage.
@cstarby I've just remembered why I didn't go for your floor tiles... how does it deal with jacking cars up and axel stands etc? Would hate to leave a car on stands long term and the floor to be ruined after.
