gave it a quick going over with a clay bar and then the machine polisher to bring the paint back into some sort of reasonable condition and then decide what panels need paint

got this to deal with tomorrow...

Exhaust is coming off it too, im looking for a fast daily driver so a new genuine renault system going on

I love them they are staying, well when I say staying these ones are getting sold and im buying a new set to refurb, only reason being is the previous owner just 3 weeks ago had 4 brand new budget tyres fitted to these so they are ideal to sell to someone as budget tyres are not for me lol!!

car is getting new engine mounts so decided to give the engine a clean up...

as it stood

rocker cover (car had a new engine recently and it had apparently been sitting under a cover outside for a while)

inlets, engine mount and fuel rail guard painted (throttle body was also done later on)

rocker cover was done high temp matt black

ill update with pictures when its all fitted back on once the new mounts are fitted and its back together.

What paint are you using big stuff? Mine is on 96k now and I think I last cleaned the engine about 50k ago!

hammerite smooth silver and just some cheapo ebay super high temp I bought years ago for the ph1.

hammerite is perfect for the job!

Can't beat a ph2 flamer

Looks great, good work on the engine bay, I really need to sort my bay out. Any plans for it engine / suspension wise?

plans are keep it standard bar a decent suspension setup and 4 pots. even got a standard exhaust coming for it!!

ordering a full front end refresh for it every bush, mount etc

the usual cloudy headlight problem...

400, 800 & 1200 wet and dry then polished up with compound using machine polisher

How did you go about spraying the rocker cover? just mask everything surrounding it? Mine has a drying inlet as we speak, so might as well do this while it's like that.
