Tyre Aerosoles - 182!!!

Got a puncture last night but managed to get home (300/400 Metres), tyre is pretty much flat my question is do the the cans actually reinflate the tyre or do they spray some sort of foam into them to keep them in shape?

Hoping to be able to drive it round the coner to my local kwik fit who can do me a pair of Exalto 2s for £220 all in.

THey fill it full of a mixture of compressed air and a sealant to plug the hole. If you can get the tyre repaired or replaced without using the aerosol so much the better, it makes a hell of a mess (and saves you having to buy another aerosol!)

haggle the price on the tyre m8. My local kwikfit did me 1 for £88 inclusive. Also, make sure that they check the rim for damage b4 they swap the tyres. That way if any caused they are responsible.

Re the tyre weld, it will inflate the tyre but once used the tyre is useless and it makes a bloody mess inside the rim!

yep £90 a tyre inclusive from kwikfit!!!

tell them budget or farmer autocare are doing it for £91 a corner inclusive!!!

Back in work now, didnt have time to do any haggling they were actually the cheapest I tried in Bedford, the others were mobile firms so I dunno if theyre more expensive than normal.

Typical innit? Was planning on get some new wheels in a few weeks time obviiusly at a muich cheaper price, oh well, best laid plans and all that!
