Tyre choices

Good Day All

I know the majority of are probably sick of hearing this post, i have read through some of the interesting debate of tyre choices but am wondering why no one is suggesting Miches, either in primacy or exalto?

Have mk1 172 and running the 2nd set of old pilots down fast so need new rubber.

Has any got either miches with good results or has some else got argument against them?

Cheerz

My mum had them on her old Polo, she sed noise wise they were better than the budget ones shed had on, didnt mention anything about handling, but she aint the sort of person to drive fast enough to determine levels of grip between tyres.

i personally have Uniroyal Rainsports (purley cus they came on the wheels) when you are driving in the wet i havent noticed any difference in grip.

Was racing this Jag around an island earlier 2day, slightly wet roads, he slid the arse end going around (probabily about 40), and only just kept it on the road, i went around int eh same speed and had perfect grip. I realise that the jag was prolly rear wheel drive, and that probabily accounted for the slid.

Btw i have a 1.2 clio, and was keepign up wiht it relativly well on the twisty stuff, only when we got onto a stright bit did he piss all over me.

Had offers from colleague and mates, for P6000s and dun sp01 or whatever, but wanted to keep as close to original set up.

Seems as though the F1s are being rated well here, amongst other, i want good value for money and reliability mainly in dry and as wet the 172 is all over shop.

Other matey of mine has a manual xjs 6cyl and thats fecking great on round abouts, ar5e end all out as opposed to 172 rear inside wheel up!

std, 195/50 r15 v rated, not got dosh for upgrade in dia wheel size yet, dont want to compromise ride.
