tyre pressures - 182 with cup packs

  Titanium 182

Hi

Not in the book for load/motorway tyre pressure. Any ideas please?

182 with the cup options (if that makes any difference), oh and 1/2 bag of peanut MMs in the can holder.

I think the book says 33 front, 30 rear, but I tend to run mine at 30 front, 28 rear. Seems to make back end less skitish on bends. I also do a fair few motorway miles. Done 12K miles now and tyres are wearing evenly and fronts still have 4K ish left on them I recon.

you have 4k left on the fronts after 12000 miles? Are you sure its a 182? I never got more than 6k out of my fronts on my 172 ;) Agree about the pressures though, 33 front 30 rear is a little high if you want maximum grip.

Mines felt awful after Brands, felt a complete handful on the M1 day before yesterday  Dunno if its the tyres or the pressures....

Youre apparently supposed to get a supplementary booklet with a new 182 / Cup with tyre pressures, kerb weights etc in. I say apparently because my dealer is still trying to get me one 4 weeks after I took delivery on the car.

While Im posting on the topic, Id suggest regular M&Ms over the peanut ones. Or Skittles.

My 182 with cup packs has 32in the front and 30 in the rear (never gets laden up with stuff),

At 9,500 miles I swapped the tyres front to back and at its 12K mile service I was told that the rear had 3mm of tread left and front had 4mm of tread left (car has never been on a track but it driven hard everyday). Should be good until 18,000 miles on this set of tyres.

I hate to think how few miles your getting from tyres in the V6 mike!!!

I am running 34 and 31 cos I pumped them up in colder weather so they have gone up on their own!

No problems with handling and the wear rate is good - at 5k they are like new.
