Underside Engine Plate??

Can anyone tell me what the plate is called that protects the timing belts and underside of the engine? Mines snapped so i need a new one and i cant find a name for it..

Ive read on this post a second ago that quite a few are running without it.. Is that okay ish?

That was my thinking.. ill get it replaced asap but at least i know i can still drive

Mine was flapping about so I cut mine off. My car is still alive *fingers crossed*

I never bother refitting them to my own cars once they come off.

The way I see it, I'd rather know if my car had an oil leak. With one of these on, it'll be hidden.
