  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
its prob me tbh LOL

pushing too hard. you never realise how fast you are going into these bends..

im gona have a look at the rear too :) maybe it is pusing me in!

  Lionel Richie
what tyre pressure?

the 195/50's i would put as one cause (205/50's are much much better)

LEDA's seem to work better with toe out

and you must learn to drive ;)

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
LOL at my driving LOL

im runnign 33f 31 rear

i cant fit 205 with the offset of the speedlines

what toe should i run?

  Lionel Richie
i'd lower your tyre pressures a bit

yes you can fit 205's! what's the offset 38???

no idea, i've never setup LEDA's

I'd defo lower your pressures. I'm surprised the tyres arn'y going off towards the end of your session. Try 26-28...

Your camber/Toe seems fine tbh...Take you can't adjust the caster on the front end?!

What engine you running how much power have you got are you on the throttle or off when getting the under steer could be the tyres or you trying to get on the power to soon

ben i think you will find that your rear springs are two soft for the fronts i would try 500lb rear springs .

also what make of springs are they on the car ben as if they are ebach then as long as they are not damaged or marked in any way they will swap them for you

interesting read ...

when my car was set up on the 195/50 paradas pressures were set to 30f 28r - trying to remember back to last summer but i think that was it.

what about trying more camber at the front? with spacers if need be? -ve 2.5?

i cant comment on toe as iv got no idea what mine was set at.

fitted the pe2s yesterday,

just stock atm, im doing these on balenced throttle, then power when its stright! any power down in a bend and i'd be hitting the curb!

faulkner,

500 for the fronts?

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
no they had them in stock, but there was no chance they were gona fit, we wiped a wheel off before hand, the 195s had burnt part of the dust cover away on the rear, and there was like a 3mm gap between the wing and the shell. :S f**k knows how yours fit!?

LOL

but ended up with 195 45 15

With your spring setup you should not get any understeer
Tyre pressures are not that important

I would check the health of your rear ARB, maybe buy a ph3 rear beam with stiffer ARB
And do buy wishbones from newer model (ph2), they have more caster built in
Your alignment looks fine, u need more camber for trackdays (-2.5)
Try spacers at the front

  RenaultSport 172.
heres something else for you to try....try taking off your anti-roll bar ;)

think you'd be suprised with the diffrence ;)

hi dude, im gona get some more camber on asap for my next trackday!
i have a psh3 (182) rear beam and ARB
do the ps2 wishbones fit the ps1? i thought they sent the cast WAY off original

would spacers help me? what MM should i look at?

  Mk2 172
That seems a tad steep. I only paid 30 quid each for eibachs for my mates 205. Just get the new stuff. U know what im talking about!! ;) ;)

im still not convinced. the new LEDA stuff looks awsome!

hhhhhmmmmm. not convinced. recently went bust and trying something new. Who knows how long it will last. 30+ years experience is all im saying and never yet gone down :)

they had financial difficulty and went into administration, doesnt mean that they have now lost all the experance they had! LEDA have 30+ years if not more. Im sure that a new set of LEDA's would easily out perform the AST clio kit.

And you also made the point that LEDA's are oil filled, every person who got a set of LEDA's back from the 2005 group buy could have had the option of Gas.

Ok mate :) strange how 3 race teams have gone away from leda to AST to build all there new suspension for them. They had never ending problems with leaking shocks. And as for the clio kit. they were built for a budget of less than a grand. If AST were let loose to build a real high end set them im confident they would blow them into the weeds. Take a look at the RACE kit from AST!!! pretty hot stuff. Remote canisters etc etc :)

LOL ha ha ha - the LEDA's were about £1350, but your right lets not argue as its pointless were not going to get anywhere, we all have different makes and we will all defend them ... so we will go round in circles, no doubt be would still have understeer on a set of AST's running 300lb front springs, the only difference being that the AST uses a helper spring, how much difference that makes i am yet to find out.

Iv already looked at the AST race stuff and it looks excellent - but thats not on ur car is it, what are you running the sport line 1? which i would compare to an H and R set up with the AST have the bonus of being adjustible. Im still not convinced on the strength of the rear coilovers.

Untill we get a decent ohlins (or something) set up for fast road/track were all going to say our own suspension is better than the competition, at the end of the day it will come down to set up and whos driving the car

I've been out in a LEDA'd car and it felt wicked, not been out in an AST one, so Dan will have to take me out in his. I know it's got proper rear coilovers like a Cup racer, similar I'm guessing to the setup Yoz uses on Cuppy... based on how well that thing went at Spa I'm expecting it to be pretty bloody good to be honest. Cant be bad either way, your Ring times kinda show that Dan, didn't you do a sup 9 minute on them with a stock engine and little experience of the track?

Dan were you not developing the AST kit at cadwell the day i met you?! Looked fuckin nice...And orange iirc ;)
