universal wheel spacers?

  TRACK CAR BREAKING
rite i have just fitted a set of OZF1'S to my 182 and they sit abit to far into the arch for my liking..
basically i want to spacer each wheel out 10mm.
i just spoke to Rtec Auto designs and they said not to use universal one as the wheels will no longer local on the hub.. they ended up pricing to be £243.
so yer i decided to give them a miss.

will it be ok to get some 10mm universal ones from demon tweaks

I was told to look at the F K ones on viper motor sport. Would certainly be cheaper than your quote. Wanting to do mines 15 on the rear 20 on the front with the bolt to hub type. Just cant bring myself to shell out the £200 :S would like to see them on the car to see if its worth it, but that wont be happening.

I've been looking into this recently too but from what i've read the smallest Hubcentric (Non Universal) Spacer you'll get is a 15mm.. So if you want 10mm's then you're only choice is universal spacers.

Really nice car btw :D

They told you not to use universal for a reason.

Pay decent cash for decent hubcentric spacers from a decent brand, or be a pikey and buy cheap universal stuff and ruin the ride of your car and have your wheel fall off. Your choice.

I had to run 5mm universal ones a while back purely so I could drive the car to work and the vibration from them was f**king horrible.

My wheel fell off after using universal spacers if that's a big enough warning?

It will cause the wheels to only put all weight on the bolts, lengthening the bolts holes. The wheel should sit on the hub as this is what takes the weight and a lot more heavy duty.

Deltamics ones are the ones to have and only about £50
