Unlocking a P20 Pro

Got an old P20 that I want to give my old man as a stop gap. I've never had a phone unlocked before so no idea with it. Is it possible to DIY or still a case of taking it to some dodgy bloke down the market on a Wednesday morning?

Every Google Pixel I've had from EE hasn't been.

You can do it on ebay. Apparently for £1.19

I am.sure you give them the IMEI, and then they send you a code to put when the 'blocked' sim is inserted .

Now depends on what network is locked.

May offer a service for it, but wont be as cheap as ebay, but if demand is there , why not.
