Mate to be frank...Colour matchin is Very very difficult! 9/10 times you'll notice one way or another, Be it down to the light, shade, depth or flake.
I had the Vee bumper respray'd and i know it's been done....Not obvious as it's a Mint job, but i can see a minor difference.
No where closer that can paint it! I've got one of the best bodyshops in scotland 10miles from the house...-Knows you've already paid for it. But might be the only way to sort it once and for all.

yeah, well when i had the big crash, they resprayed the whole backend, upto the doors, and it matched perfectly, now this color the strips have been painted in is nothing like it.........il give it to them the finish is amazing, but its just the color of them, its more like an aqua blue than a grey that my car is.....

yeh, fire along wi the car and the painted bits and it will show your reasoning.
yeah im gona grab a few shots tommorow, like its a perfect finish, really thick smooth laquer, just the color underneath is so far out its untrue, il have to see if a bodyshop can try again if i cant get any cash back

When you parked your car next to its twin on that pic... was it the same colour, because that car looked to be the colour they have painted.

exact same matey, its all the lights in dodgy places down there......ive even put it next to someone elses of the same color, and the freshly sprayed rear quarters after the crash were perfectly the same..........il get a daylight picture tomorrow and its definitely noticable

really they should have got the colour chips out. Looks like a problem with the mixing, do they mix waterbased on site? or buy in? some stuff my painter does paintmatch wise is terrible... even with the right colour code.

i think they buy in matey, he had my color code correct defo, J47, and when i rang he said he was waiting for the 'tinter' to arrive, i guess thats the color? defo does not mix on site i don't think

Tinters are the seperate paints which mix to make the desired colour. I checked at work today there is only one shade of your colour on both sets of chips we have, which to me says they have mixed it wrongly, probably too much of one tinter and will not have noticed the difference with the car not being there to check against
