Upgrade to cup suspension

Hi,
I read a lot of topics with differences on 182 and 182cup but some said that the driveshaft are different and some not.
I have a 172 non cup (the only one I could find LHD) and I want to convert it with 182 cup suspension and dampers. I have all 4 brand new dampers and just need the front bits to fit them. I read that front Hubs have different spacing, 60mm instead of 54mm, but did not know anything about other bits like driveshaft. I also know that I need abs sensor and bearing, but maybe I can find a used hubs with bearing and abs sensor.
Thanks and please help me.

Hi Radu,

Honestly, I don't see the point in doing this. The hubs would be different. When anyone buys suspension they need to check if it is for 54mm or 60mm spacing. So if you plan to fit 60mm spacing dampers, you would need the hub to allow of course.

Because of this I believe that the driveshafts would also need changing for 182 Cup ones.

A lot of hassle for what I can see would be pointless? I would sell what you've bought and refresh or upgrade your existing 54mm shock set up

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. My dampers need to be replaced because they are old. I have from a friend a set of brand new 182 cup dampers.
I know that the hubs need replacement, but I am not sure for the driveshaft.
The only reason is that a little upgrade is always good and if for this upgrade I don't need to spend a lot of money I will try to make it done.

Thanks
Radu

I just want it because I think, tbh, that 182cup suspension is better than normal 182.

So is anyone that could help me by listing all the parts I need for converting to 60mm spacing?
I need this mod because of a project clio, a full 182FF replica. I just have to add the cruise cotrol buttons, this front hub conversion and the flat boot floor. So please help me
Thanks
Radu
