Urgent help - fuse probelm - Clio 172

Car  Clio 182
I have just bought my Clio 172 on Friday nite and sadly the theres soemthing wrong with my dashborad interior light, It doesnt work and everytime i change the fuse (10amp) it blows up.

Also i noticed yesterday that when i brake that the light for the rear fog lights appears faintly on the dashboard.

Can somone help as i cant drive at nite, help!

Not sure about the dash but as for the light it sounds like the rear pins in the light cluster have corroded. Take the rear clusters out and inspect the electrical connections, its fairly common for moisture to get in there and cause problems.

Hi Dave,

I looked at mu number bulb holder and that looks corroded, if i disconnect that, will that solve the problem do u think until i can get a new one?

Also noticed that my rear light cloister light for the night time use does not work, do i just chagne the holder for that?

dissconnect the number plate light, mine did exactly the same last year

I've disconected the number plate light now, its corrided inside, work fine now, will have to get a new number plate holder.

The other problem i got is that one i brake i noticed that my rear fog lights come on faintly, does anyone know why this happens?

Thanks guys for your help

common problem with the number plate light apparently, i just left mine disconnected. Not sure abot the fog light? maybe clean up the contacts on the multiplug, and get some w40 in there

Ive replaced one on mine, Im sure it was £12, you have to buy the whole unit with the clear glass and bulb.
