URGENT!!! Sunroof stuck open

Hi
My sunroof is stuck open on one side. It slides along the top of the roof ok, but only one side will move down. Its an electric one and i've tried using WD40 etc but it wont move. Any ideas on whats wrong?
Are they easy to remove?

Is there not an emergency winding handle in the tool kit in the spare wheel cover ???

It proberly wont close ive seen a few like that mate, the rear runner bit snaps off, and sorry forgot to get your radio code.

Nothings snapped off that i can see, its just jammed solid on one side. I'm worried cos i cant afford a new sunroof :S

i will get it on monday, dont surpose your in bath at mo mate. you can manually wind the motor by taking the interior light down and there is a 4mm allen key in the middle of the motor it sound like the frame is at fault rather than the motor.

I'll try the emergency winding thing, not optimistic though! i just want it shut dont want any more leaks!

Well if i cant get it sorted out this weekend then that'd be great mate! I'd come to you if u wanted, less effort for you.
I've looked for the winding screw, but under the light theres the motor cased in gold coloured metal, and no allen key. Theres 3 screws, all look to be holding the motor in, nothing that looks like it'll wind :S

right in the middle of the 3 screws if i can mate ill go take a photo of mine, its ok i need to see a mate in bath this week anyway.

Well i dont live in bath itself, more halfway between bristol and bath, so going either ways good for me.

Hmm looking at that pic i dont have that allen key in the middle :S
I need to find some way of waterproofing the gap before the rain sets in lol

Ummm never come across one without an allen key,
Is there any rain due?

Not sure when the rains due, but i think i'm gonna true duct tape cos i cant think of anything else that'll stick.
I'm going off to have another look for that allen key, must be there if you havent seen one without

I think my motors different from urs nobby, i dont have that big round bit, only a rectangular motor.

Right theres 2 pics sorry there not that good the top one is from the interior light unit i have outlined the allen key slot.
the next pic is looking from the in between the headlining towards the front of the car the allen key is where the blue bit is but lower.

Cheers for that, i know what your talking about now. How did you remove that black plastic section as it seem to be just above the headlining :S

if your very carefull you can take it out thought where the light would go or take the fabric seal off around the sunroof (just pulls off) and pull the lining down a bit and you can get it out though there as well just be careful with the headlining, and be careful with the black plastic thing and the clips at the front will be tight.

Ah ok i'll try removing that strip cos i cant get it out through the gap. Which way does it turn btw?

Slight snag here.....i've undone the torx screw to the roof, but how is the black bit attached at the front end cos it seems stuck there and im not sure wots holding it there?

two clips hold it in at the front give it a wiggle and a pull, the motor turns both ways but i think it clockwise to do up

I've tried but no luck, only the one side will close :dapprove: ....am i looking at a new sunroof here or is it possible that its just jammed and can be freed?

Possible it can be freed ive seen two and both had to have new frames. I will have a look around work see if it got a frame spare

Well if i can find you one ill help you out on that front as i work for renault mate, its the frame thats very expensive.
