V-maxx rear camber = blow out

  clio 172 sport
Driving along and had a blow out @80, nothing bad happened managed to keep it under control. So changed the tyre to get me home.

inspected the tyre and a huge rip is on the inside wall.
and i've notice that the rear passanger side only has too much camber (top towards the car too much) and looks like the tyre has ripped on a small bolt in the arch.

can you adjust the rear camber on one wheel?
both sides were done exactly the same and dont know why one is out

Lol at blaming the camber.

Think it's simply too low with something protruding into the rear arch.

all the way down on the back, sounds like it's just too low and no fault of the coilovers as above

did you get it setup/checked after you fitted them ?

my clio was lower and thus also had more camber on vmaxx coilies and this did not happen to me so i think your problem is somewhere else mate.

no theres dedfinaletly a difference in the camber visable to the eye (prob about 10mm), they are 60mm down on the rear and not scrubing with 4 people in when i've had that many in the past.
happened with 2 people in the car and theres on scrape/score mark round the whole tyre just a huge rip about 6inch

If there is a difference in the two wheels, I'd be looking somewhere other than the non camber adjustable coilovers.

have the alingment checked, but my money would be on a stub axle or the rear beam.

It's possible. I'm only guessing though.
but if the struts are non adjustable I'd doubt it could be those, unless there is a manufacturing fault.

Bit of confusion in here. The coilovers have nothing to do with rear wheel camber - the only way to increase rear camber is to use angled shims. I suspect you have lowered it far to much, the V-maxx are a relatively soft rear spring/damper combo too, so as a result something in the wheel arch has eventually popped the tyre.

Must have been a slow flat that went wider and theres a small bolt on the liner it may have caught or just got hot with it bein low on air and went.
Cambers looked different but i had a 182 alloy on one side and a 172 alloy on the other.... check it all since its had a new tyre and all is fine!

glad to hear nothing terrible came from the blowout, does sound odd. My Gaz coils are only an inch or two higher than your rears and thats as high as they go!!
