V6 Airbox - Crankcase Breather Filter

Hey guys,

Had a little search but couldn't find anything on this. Just bought a V6 box and was told that fitting a breather filter was the way. Being pretty new to all this I just wanted to check that the following:

Why do you need a breather? The V6 fits on to the original piping?

As above, just use the standard 182 90 degree bend the crankcase breather will remain in the same position.
