V6 MkII Tyre Presures

OK guys/girls what tyre pressures do you run on your MK2 Vs?

I have set mine to what it says in the manual 2 bar front and 2.10 bar for the rears, The dealer must of over inflated my tyres as they were set at 2.35 bar front and 2.50 bar for the rears, i only checked them as i noticed some unusual trye wear to the outside edges.

  Forester Sti, SC Clio V6,

not according to Renault - they used the tyres as springs as the dampers are on the bump stops if you brake and turn in a MK1!

I have my rears on 30, and Ive noticed that the middle has worn down much quicker than the outsides - is this normal for the V6, or the sign of an over inflated tyre?

or maybe its you powersliding too much ;)

Shows they are slightly over inflated.

Pressures given above are for a full complement, 2 people on board.

Also can depend on the type of journey.

Mine are mostly on the motor way and I get a fairly even tread wear both back and front.

Back last 12k and front 24k.

All with the above pressures for the Mk 1.

i run all 4 tyres 0.1 bar above manufacturers .. back end is a lot less squirmy at these pressures. Wear is still unifom too

Mike T,

Thats over 48k.

6 miles onto motorway, 125 of motorway and into office.

Saves on tyre wear.

Pads due for change to-morrow after 48k, not bad.

All the best

John V6
