You can buy one cheaper than a 200, so it's affordable and chavs like to ruin things. You only have to look in the media section for that to become apparent.

Exactly, if I was truly desperate for some 'sik ones bass yo' I would just put one of those Rockford I beams under the chair. Revels is right though, they are cheap now and with that kind of styling it is inevitable that they will attract chavs.

Serially though. ultimately some people modify their car because it's their car. It's not like they can't be put back to standard. Saying that, they do look s**t as f**k with those mods. The red details on the first one just look plain horrible. Still, with the exception of the 197/200, the Renaultsport (R.S.) Clios are now SRS charver wagons. It was inevitable that the V6 would follow suit before long. Some people just have no taste. Also lol at ICE like that in a Renault. Just speeding up the disintegration process IMO.

Hopefully people with some taste will buy them and sort them out.

Red grills are easy to respray and tints can be ripped off.
All that ICE can be ripped out and sold on and the power ranger steering wheel can be f*cked off with ease.

Unfortuantly it's not just chavs that ruin cars, even people with big money have zero taste,
just look at some of the super car abortions that take part in the Gumball.

The V6 is a future classic and it's such a shame retards can get ahold of them and ruin them.

Gally - seen a nice example FRP pass the other day in and out of traffic and it sounded like a rally car! Was very nice didn't relies they sounded as nice, must of had aggressive cams or something as it was cracking and popping well!

Oh the FRP does sound good even standard but I need a little more noise. Possible decat although people tell me it'll make little difference as the standard exhaust is a sports exhaust with no restriction apart from the cat and rear box. It does'nt have any silnecers in the middle.

Infact I need to do a drive by video to actually see how it sounds from the outside.

@Gally. From memory, the FRP is plenty loud enough, especially when it's burning fuel in the exhaust!

That FRP probably had a Miltek 4-1 manifold, Cat Back and a Miltek Sports CAT (or possibly De-Cat)

They sound raspy as f**k with that above setup - Although, even with the 155bhp, the torque figure is disappointing.

However a car I would love to one day own - such epic cars.

Those V6's are ruined, although that blue one aint too bad.

My exhaust is fully standard and very raspy. You can usually tell if it's standard it'll have the exhaust tip with the bar in the middle. A lot of the piper ones and Milltek ones never had the middle bar.

@Goodj, indeed mate. I'll try the decat route and see how it goes.

The Blue one I should add wasn't posted as a poor modification I actually liked that one! It would be a great car to own one day.

No idea what the FRP was running but highly doubt it was a standard exhaust system from what it sounded like. The car Looked standard mind, nice n clean example.

Also, i think a ph2 V6 (or the very rare illiad blue MK1 V6) would be a perfect upgrade from your FRP. If you looked after a V6 like you do the FRP you would be on to a winner! If I ever sold the super 7 a mint V6 is what I would be after.

I think the FRP and V6 are equally as special in terms of the post-enginering involved in their building. The Clio V6 is probably more special owing to the fact that it's mid-engined and RWD, but to me, they're both as desirable in terms of being unique. I've never been a fan of the V6, simply because the external body is covered in bits of plastic, over what amounts to a normal Clio. The fit & finish up close is horrible. I do appreciate them for what they are though, and I'm sure they're amazing to drive. Needed better chairs and a decent steering wheel though. I don't think I'll ever want to own one. Not least because I'd never trust any dealer to have the first clue. Although I suppose that's a non-issue now they are older, and there are a few specialists who can properly maintain them.

As daft as it may sound to some, I think the future will unfold with the FRP being the higher valued machine. Especially as the fast Ford community is massive. Seen three FRPs on the road now in my RS, and there's always an appreciate exchange of flashes and/or waved hands. Of course, I'm sure the same applies in the Renault community but, to me, the rusty Ford has the edge.
At least the Puma doesn't have acres of plastic glued onto it like the V6 or M250.

Having said all that, I can never shake the feeling the Puma is slow in a straight line. Then again the V6 is only a 16 second 0-100 car. Not much quicker in the TLGP than a 182. Obviously much meatier in-gear though.

I dunno Roy, I just can't see it (no offence). I think it's just due to the V6 being so much of an insane car. Tbf there both totally different cars. Special in their own ways but for me the V6 wins hands down. Although i do agree on things like the seats etc.

Oh n don't forget the V6 in evo made an impressive time around their track. In the right hands it's a quick motor. Quite abit quicker than 182's also. Ino, I lead a convoy down to FCS2010 in my 182.

For sure. I was talking mainly about the special engineering involved. The Puma had it's bodysides reattached. The Clio had yards of plastic glued on, not unlike the Meg250. But then the Clio also had an incredibly bespoke body underneath. Swings & roundabouts. I sill think that, as the Ford community is massively larger than the Renault variety, time will prove the FRP to be the more desirable car. Overall. Much like people can't understand why old cossies are held in such high esteem and valued accordingly.

Obviously I was in no way comparing the FRP and the Vee.

It would be a lovely upgrade to be fair. I also know 2 people who run them as daily cars. Which is pretty important to me.

Me and Ali spoke before about how similar the Frp and the Vee are. Mostly parts prices, how they were concieved and how special they are in their own right even though they can be out dragged by a decent diesel these days.

I must disagree with Munson on the Value point. Although much more rare the Vee will definitely be worth more in years to come. I'd say the main reason is how mainstream it is and even the likes of Evo promoting it still to this day.

Very little people even Petrolheads know the Frp even exists! And the people that do, don't know a lot about them. It's nice in a way but when educating them you just come across as if you're bumming your own car.
It's one of the reasons any meet i'm at I give people the keys to it. So at least they can see what the fuss is about or not in some cases.

The FRS engined frp wasn't up to much to be fair. The standard car needs more power I agree, i'm not sure how easy/reliable tb's are but the handling does not go with a turbo'd car. Think of a Trophy with a turbo engine. Loses it appeal for me.

I quite like it's power tbh. There would be lots more threads about black ice/deers/diesel/unicorn piss and ditches if the vee had "a lot" more power. Just the wheelbase ect causing issues even at standard power in the wet. In the dry i'm sure it could handle more power.

Round Bedford the Vee is only 0.3 seconds slower than your bus!

I nearly bought oene the weekend. I was bidding on it on a dealer auction site I use and I bid up to £5500 and it sold for £5700.

A bit gutted really.
