Valeting Premesis

  "Navy" N17 TWO
How on earth do people valet cars in our weather withough garages

We started talking of making a multi-purpose van project, mainly valeting, and use the space in the van for other use when the valeting is on a low.
Is it possible to attach some sort of extendable canopy on the roof of a transit or the likes?

Probably a long shot but there's a method to my madness :star: finding premesis is not easy or cheap!

Yeah you can attatch an awning, but its more aggro than its worth.

I used to just carry on cleaning in the rain, no probs.

Didn't bother, just used AG car shampoo.

If your PC'ing and applying strong waxes, then it should be done indoors or in total shade, otherwise it'll leave shadows all over the paint.

be carefull about the new environment laws some councils are being very fussy about waste water, thats why you see a lot of these converted forecourt valeting places closing down.

Funny- I had one of those leaflets left under my wiper today about waterless valeting :S

^^ 20 pounds at our local DIY store... I think I would feel a bit of a tool putting it up over the car though. The neighbours already think I'm wierd when I take the wheels off for a clean... putting a tent up would make them think I had gone over the edge.

Yeh people seem to think anything more than a quick hose down then smearing a dirty sponge over the paint and leaving to dry au natural is OTT. That is probably why you notice what s*** condition everyones car is once you start taking care of your own!

Never has a truer word about valeting been said.

I wash my car about once a month, in that time it may have covered 1500miles but my neighbour still mutters a joke or ten about my 'obsession' which I begrudgingly go along with because he's an old chap and doesn't know what it's like to be enthusiastic about a car, Christ knows what he'd make of Rich's efforts.
I enjoy cleaning the car though, it's a pleasure to see it sparkling, a real reward for your effort.

My Mum questions me washing my car once a week, when she cleans the toilet, bathroom, kitchen and lounge most days. Considering I spend a lot more time in my car than in any of those places, and that a car depreciates where as a house appreciates in value, to me it seems illogical not to clean my car at least once a week. I just don't like that my house is at the bottom of the street so every car driving in or out sees me and stares.... oh the staring!
