just snip it and replace with jubilee clips on the rail end,looks like there original fixings (quite rare) and yes flow and return is correct, unless you get the pipes trapped you cant get them beckwards anyway as one wont reach that far withough being stretched ;)
 
no dont, those are special fittings.

The connector just needs to be sqeezed and lifted off, then pushed back on to replace.

Cut them and you'll get it fitted again.

oh s**t my bad then i'm sorry ffor the ill advice, just mine are jubilee clipped and are spot on
 
when re-fitting make sure the o-ring is fitted perfectly or it will leak. Slide it down and then rotate slightly.
