Valver insurance.

  306 GTI-6
Been doing some ringing around today for my insurance and the best I have come up with is:

With Admiral. I am 18 with 1 years no claims, no convictions etc with my dad as a named driver.
On a 1995 Valver valued at £1500 with the following mods declared:
Alloys
Bodykit
Exhaust
Induction
Clear rear lights and morette headlights
Rear tints on the windows
and Uprated front brakes

I got it tpft for £1454.17 with £750 stereo cover aswell. Didn't think that was too bad. Can anyone reccomend any other companies that would be worth a try?

at your age with that car i dont think your going to get much better to be honest im surprised by that given that most companies wont touch drivers below 25 years on that car anyway;)

I've had quite a few quotes and all have been under 2k. It's the mods that they really don't like! but that's my fault for having a modified car! I've got 2 and a half weeks till I can get her on the road. can't wait!

Just had a quote from elephant, same as above all mods declared etc with my mum and dad as named drivers and they £1193 TPFT. I'm almost certain that I will be going with them! Unless anyone has any other good companies to try?

I've just got off the phone to HIC (08451 291291)

They've just shut unfortunately but open at 9 tomorrow again, or they have a website you can run through a quote on.

They got me a quote with "Chaucer" who I've never heard of but seem to be good coverwise. (I'm going to post up in my other thread in a moment.) The test is if I have to claim though, but hopefully I won't have to...

When I was 18 nearly 19 my valver was £1500 tptf with admiral with a few mods. They were by far the cheapest for me then. Put as many older drivers on your policy too, like ur mum and dad, that knocked a couple hundred quid off for me. Only prob with admiral is that they have a indian call center which are hard to communicate with sometimes. But couldnt beat them for price. Sam
