valver newbie

Hi i would just like to introduce my self as i've all very new to this as i WAS a vw owner!
I brought my self at the weekend a mk1 phase 2 1.8 16v with heated leather electric everything etc etc and to say i'm pleased is an understatment, i carnt believe how snobby vw owners are/can be it's the most solid and cofy drive i've every had so..

anyway i would just like to post some pics of it sorry they arnt the best but i was dark when i took them lol

oh and the reg plate end in BLD that mite not mean alot to u lot but when i saw it i pissed my self because i'm BALD my self lol so i knew it was mine

look in your fusebox, there is one for the heated seats iirc (number 4)

i would love a pair!

oooh, OP, look down to the bottom right of the steering wheel, there is a button for your front fogs there and a space for another switch. i've never seen it filled in, maybe its for the heated seats?

might have to go have a browse over at the valver in the scrappys, that had leather seats... mmm.. heated

yep there defo heats as the wireing is there under the seats and the wire seems to come from behind the dash so...

i'm based about 15miles from stoke but in a little village called ipstones! dnt think i've seen it although there is only me willy and one other 16v i know of around me! do you have any locial meets if not stoke hold one every month if ur up for it?

yeah, just with a centre bit from a renault 5 gtt.

Car looks nice - I used to have one identical to it, same colour, reg, leather etc. I'm not sure about the heated leather seats, i'm sure they never had it (may be wrong though) never heard of it either tbh. The wire under the seats is probalby the seat belt pre tensioners.

if you look in the clio book thingy that comes with the car, it does mention the heated seats

not even the baccarra had heated seats!

The wiring under the seats that you can see is for the pretensioners.

We'll have a look and a play tonight see if we can see anything. I know for a fact some Mk1's did have heated seats but not sure what model etc.
