Valver - williams!!!

What are the main differences between these cars, I dont want to know about the extra, 13bhp, 200cc, diesal crank etc, I was thinking more on the road handling, brakes and power sort of differences, stuff that really counts?

Its just when me and flaming monkey took both ours (williams 3 and valver) just on the dual carrigeway doing simple, 2nd,3rd,4th,5th races, then 3rd,4th,5th etc, slowing right down then speeding up through rev range, there wasnt a massive amount of difference, you could tell the difference in low down torque his pulled a lot better from low revs, my extra 700rpm didnt seem to make much difference and other than that they werent too different, but I did enjoy haveing a play, would like to see the differences on a race track!

Both cars are mildly modded, breathing mods and thats about it!

So is that the only major difference, in a striaght line these cars wont be much different then?

What about the brakes are they exactly the same?

Any difference in the gearbox, is the williams shorter ratio?

From my experience of having valver and Williams, is that the valver handles excellent, but the Williams is definatly better, not sure why it just is feels much sturdier.

Be good to have a blast again on sunday Danny, I feel the Willy is much stronger in 2nd and 3rd than my Valver was, be good to test it from a standing start rather than rolling.

Yer definatly Rob, we can give them a better run this time, maybe put a few corners in there, but nothing too stupid!

Will be good to compare against some others as well see what different mods make a big difference on the road and how our cars fair up to other poeples!

We can let 2live and martin go and play around with the meganne 225 and CTR!

Oh and any scoobies and evos that wanna play!

Danny

Im thinking of taking mine a little higher and softening the suspension! its super solid. I also cant wait to see how mine gos againt a Willy and other Valvers.

  williams and trophy

danny mate..the roads i brought u in on i used to love in the valver...but wen i got the willy....the valver never turned a wheel in anger lol...as u could probably tell i know the roads pretty well, and can honestly say the dif between the 2 is BIG .........u feel a lot more confident in the willy, even more so wen it doesnt roll much...lol....but its surprisingly easy to get a little too confident in them lol...

Yer I agree 2live, you did push it and the car felt quite comfortable with it, suppose thats the wider track!!!

So handling better, due to the wider track then?

Brakes, are they the same so braking power should be equal! Rob we will have to do a stopping test shortest distance from 60?

Engine - whats the verdict?

And how much more was the williams to the valver when they first came out?

Cheers

Danny

The Willy is about 4 secs quicker to the ton than the Valver, but out on the road its hard to really appreciate the difference unless you get down to lower revs, where the Willy pulls like a car with forced induction. But if you look at the Willy purely in terms of straight line speed youre totally missing the point!

The engine has lots of differences, as does the suspension. See Dazs website for details (supplied by me). I n brief, suspension has more to it on the Willy than simple wider tracks - Cup achieves this over 172 with wider wheels, Reno went to a lot more effort on the Willy.

On the road, the 16V is at the top of the game, but the Willy rules it. I rate the Willy as the best hot hatch Ive driven in terms of pure handling. Just ace.
