This stuff any good?

It looks OK. I'm wanting to refresh the bay a bit and give the inlet/engine mounts/rocker/injector cover a fresh coat of Silver.

PS - I looked at the stuff oliver.james used but it's only available in Black or Red....

which seemed to do the trick but you have to paint it on with brush its not spray. its been 6 months mine has not come of yet.

In what way mate ?

in a way that it looks great when you apply it and dry it but then looks cack once the engines been running for any length of time

no it doesent, but it looks awfull atm. i used the spray on stuff on the cylinder head and the brush on stuff for the block, the cylinder head doesent look too bad the block has bits of silver on it and dirt and generally looks pants. i had only done 800 miles too.

will get some pics for you sometime next week if you wish?

I've used the HYCOTE stuff, seems good so far

Brass wire brushed are good to clean up the cast Aluminium
