viper installation

  Clio 172 Cup

hi guys have any of you got pics of your viper installation? i put mine in yesterday was a bit of a struggle!!! That bracket thing is sh*te, had to bend it to get the filter aligned up straight! Nice though. Smoother through the 5000 to 7000 rpm! sounds nice!!! Put the cold air feed down the obvious large gap to the front right, near the tyre. But the pipe is just hanging alomost vertical to the road, i want in the front grill, but i couldnt get that stupid plastic thing out of the way. is this possible. any pics would be great!

so you ripped out the original air intake pipe next to the battery? And then removed the plastic board that is next to the grill?

and whats this vacuum/solenoid?

cheers

and did you not get a bracket to support the air filter? it clips on to the jubilee clip that holds the viper onto the original air intake

Theres an easier way to route the cold air feed down to the lower grill...

We did this over a year ago and it was possibly one of the first MK2 one out of pipercross as they spent a while getting the right filter to us.

After this they brought out the samco link pipe and breather filter.

The route doesnt really matter as it doesnt affect power since its not a restriction, the only possible thing it affects is total inlet tract length. This is what we felt was best at the time.

Oh, no bracket nope.

Might be more room in a Cup compared to a 172 in that area?!
Only likley to be the aircon radiator difference and thats at the front. Would have thought it was inlikley there was that much difference as all the aricon pipes and pump are on the drivers side??
