Warranty runs out on laptop next week! Is it worth buying extended cover?

I received a lovely letter today from PC World asking if i wanted to extend. £8.99 a month? Do you guys think its worth it?

I wouldnt want anyone at PC world touching my laptop if it broke, let alone pay them for the pleasure...
