Washing you other half’s car...

  Ziel Nurburgring

Equality. Get the women out there washing yours, but i guarantee that a supermarket monkey crew of washers would do a better job.

rarely wash hers with mine. Depends on the weather, my mood and how much she nags.

Its just not the same is it... we take pride in our cars and enjoy wahsing them... couldnt give a toss about anyone elses car lol

I have always assisted with cleaning the missus car but dont regularly do it.

Last weekend I cleaned the Clio and spent about an hour polishing it. Then the missus came home so WE cleaner her ZS and polished that as well.

Yep ... I wash the missuss car. Is the "cost" of me being allowed to wash mine. However, her car is a Citroen C8 7-seater and hence f-ing massive. Took me 4 hours the other weekend to wash and polish it. Dont show in the same care and attention as mine tho ;)

Hours on mine, two mins through the car wash with hers, if i didnt doo it it would never get done. At least she does all the cleaning at home lol (well trained) :)

I always used to wash both cars, but at the moment we only have the one! Not cleaning that Mini is laziness! It wouldnt take you very long, due to the size of it :)

Am I the only guy here who always washes the arch liners? I mean wash with a crap sponge and shampoo, not just spray with a hose? I hate it when my car is gleaming and the sun shines into the arch and lights up a sh*tty brown liner...

My arch liners are always nice clean black plastic after a wash

Oh and yeah - Id wash her car but she aint getting anywhere near mine!

i clean mine too

cleaning the car is a labour of love, do it yourself and reap the reward, or dont do it at all

im the latter

182_blue - great minds think alike :D

Seriously, the reason I do it is because it really can make that difference between clean, and MINT i.e. good as new :D

The 182 rims are nice and easy to clean too - the last set of Momo feckers I had were a ball-ache. Definitely a lesson learn there - never get a set of fussy-looking alloys, even if they are the ones you really want!

Ive decided - the Mini will get a jizzing this weekend too! :D Clare - youre right, it doesnt take that long and the Mini appears more boxy with large panels. Check out the doors and the rear panels - big slabs of metal that take no timer at all to wash.

182_blue & Roy Munson - I was about to call you both sad for cleaning the arches, until I realised that on every wash, I lift the bonnet, the boot and open the doors and make sure all the cills are washed clean!

lol.. ive got to admit i do that too...

LOL I always wash the door and boot sills mate...arch liners are so easy to clean IF you do it every wash :) You have to fire the motor up and turn the wheels though, unless you have the smallest hands ever :D

I occasionally do the arch liners, but theyre usually gross with all the crap in there so I dont bother very often!

Each wash without fail, dirty arches, streaky glass and undressed tyres, all let the looks down. Attention to detail so they tell me. :p

i do,always looks like a bomb has dropped, hair bobbles and make up everywhere!am i the only one who shakes the mats daily, wife thinks im mad!

glad Im not the only sucker that does their other halfs car. Typical womens psychology though - she knows that if she leaves it long enough and lets it get really minging that I will crack and do it. I did it in the rain today - her alloys were caked and I now have all of HER brake dust under my nails.

Equality - dont you just love it!

Heh. Im embarassed by my neighbours cars, they never ever clean them! Or when they do its twice a year through a car wash.
