water pump clio 1.8 16v/rear brakes

how easy or difficult is it to replace the water pump? no cash for garage to do it, there quoting £300! Also rear discs never clean up properly, there new just seems theres not enough pressure when braking, can anyone help??

I myself would never touch the water pump. The pump is very low down on the engine + there is hardly any space to work with = pain in the arse.

Waterpump is a pain with the engine out, so i dread to think what it would be like in situ.

this ive heard^^^and i suspect that maybe my pump has gone im getting a squeaky/clicking type of noise im hoping its the alternator if thats a good thing:dapprove:
