web cam, problems

I have a web cam built in to my lap, all i know its a packard bell lap top,:S

Just tryed to speak to family via web cam i can see them but when i try to send mine it says :
Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again.

You have canceled your invitation to start viewing webcam.


But its not in use, i was only on here and msn messenger speaking to them, any ideas how id turn it on or?????:S

sometimes mine does this.

Thought I could have helped then, problem I have is that all the birds I web cam with look fat but in their pics they look like Angelina Jolie!

if that dont work mate, try configuring it in the main msn window.

think its under tools

tryed both re-starting and tryed to change the setting.=no joy...

ctrl alt delete

task manager it, and see if you can identify the program using the cam

look in device manager see if its showing as a problem, drivers may need reinstalling

Cant find web cam in the device manager, cant find it when i type it in search either
