Weight saving, rough estimate please ?



182 wheels changed to trophy speedlines
Front seats changed to Sparco Rev's (8.5kg each)
Rear seats and all fixing's removed, iso bar etc
Boot carpet
parcel shelf removed
Jack etc removed
Standard exhaust removed and Janspeed fitted with de-cat
bonnet insulation and engine cover removed

I was think that little lot about 60kg ? So probably gaining about 6 - 7 bhp per tonne over standard ?

Guessing the wheels and seats will have set you back about a £1000?

So if you think about it, 1k for a guess of 6 - 7 bhp equivalent isnt cheap compared to trying to add more horses :eek:


Not knocking weight saving, lots of other advantages too like handling etc and defo the way to go :cool:
 
Christ so 60kg loss you gain roughly 12bhp/tonne.

angelworks inlet and a remap and should be pushing 20bhp/tonne over standard then :D

Nope got the trophy wheels for 340 and seats for 200 so just over 500, seats will hold me in better too so there is a benefit there. and i sold my 182 wheels for 340 so really the wheels cost me nothing.

I agree 1k would be alot :)

Nah its really fuked, ill take a picture of the chassis damage soon but its bad lol...
 
On Rich's crashed it at Mallory, thats who ive had the seats from...

So you got it back up to standard power then Jay lol
