f**king Cup was keyed on three panels and his new Megane was done on its bulbus arse. Theyd been down the street it looks like, done my mates dads Astra too.

So cam you get these marks out or is it best to take it to a specialst? girl at work has used this bloke and he come highly reccommended, works three days a week at a Ren garage.

Im in Northants if anyone can give me a name and number of a good un.

Depends how deep the scratches are. If its just through the clear coat (the laquer on top of the paint) there are ways of getting the scratches out. If its gone through the paint layer to the primer, then get a professional to sort it out.

Depends on how confident you feel and whether its just scratches the lacquer layer. Sounds crazy, but you can take a fine (2-2500) sandpaper to it and have a go, sometimes on the end of a drill - its basically what the specialists do. See http://www.autopia.orgwww.autopia.org and the guides at the top corner of the page (called something cheesy like "learn" or "interact"), where you are slightly patronisingly guided through the process - and it works!!

Forget T-cut etc - its too gentle for serious scratches. Id clean the area (maybe the whole panel) with a base layer of Meiguars red bottle step one to get rid of any wax, then maybe some proper cutting paste, then use the sandpaper on the scratch area. Then wax it all back up (I recommend Meiguars red bottles step 2, followed by a synthetic coat like Autoglym extra gloss protectiion and finally a carnuba wax like Meiguars step 3). If that fails, then youll probably need to go to a bodyshop, but if it works, youll have saved a big stack of cash!!

took it to a mate who used some autoglym polish on it and its dulled it but you can still see it, most of the scratches are white so i think itll be a trip to this bloke, arses.

What makes tw*ts like this tick ill never know. I was never an angel when i was younger but one thing for sure, i never damaged anyones cars.

got some quotes today, and i think ive picked up another scratch overnight (w**kers) £250 for the whole side of the car to be done, ouch. Apparently the paint is going to cost £100!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you could "invest" in renting a local lock-up garage - about £30 per month around here.
