Depends on how confident you feel and whether its just scratches the lacquer layer. Sounds crazy, but you can take a fine (2-2500) sandpaper to it and have a go, sometimes on the end of a drill - its basically what the specialists do. See
http://www.autopia.orgwww.autopia.org and the guides at the top corner of the page (called something cheesy like "learn" or "interact"), where you are slightly patronisingly guided through the process - and it works!!
Forget T-cut etc - its too gentle for serious scratches. Id clean the area (maybe the whole panel) with a base layer of Meiguars red bottle step one to get rid of any wax, then maybe some proper cutting paste, then use the sandpaper on the scratch area. Then wax it all back up (I recommend Meiguars red bottles step 2, followed by a synthetic coat like Autoglym extra gloss protectiion and finally a carnuba wax like Meiguars step 3). If that fails, then youll probably need to go to a bodyshop, but if it works, youll have saved a big stack of cash!!
